Children At Risk
Children living in Iquitos, Peru undergo a tremendous amount of hardship. Hunger, lack of shelter, illness, abandonment, exploitation and kidnapping are just a few of the daily challenges these kids face. Children of the Amazon is dedicated to delivering the message that they have a Father in heaven that loves them and will take care of their every need.
What We're Doing
Children of the Amazon was formed to address the plight of those at risk in the Peruvian Amazon city of Iquitos. We are doing this in several ways such as conducting children's ministries, local medical and dental clinics, as well as training programs for community leaders in order to encourage a self-sufficient environment for future generations.
What You Can Do
A little here goes such a long way there! For less than you likely spend for coffee drinks per year, you can send a child to school. For the cost of one night out at a moderate restaurant, you can feed a child for an entire month. There are many ways to get involved including generous donations of time, resources and/or money that will go directly to helping a child in need.
100% of all donations made to Children of the Amazon will go directly to helping a child in need.
